Center Parcs Ireland to serve up a wealth of culinary delights
Center Parcs Ireland has announced its culinary line-up ahead of its opening this summer in Longford.
Italian, Indian, European, Asian Fusion and, of course, some much-loved Irish favourites are just some of the tantalising cuisines that guests at the Irish forest resort will have to look forward to. In addition to nine restaurants, Center Parcs will provide an extensive takeaway and delivery service. For those who would prefer to self-cater, each lodge is fitted with a full kitchen as well as BBQ facilities and the resort’s own supermarket, ParcMarket, will provide guests with everything they could need for their short break.
Unique to Center Parcs Longford Forest, Cara’s Kitchen & Bar will offer guests high-quality Irish fare from morning to night. Breakfast, brunch, lunch and dinner can all be enjoyed at Cara’s – from poached eggs to fresh, locally sourced seafood, including chowder, mussels, hake, seabass and seafood linguini. Cara’s fresh pizzas will be cooked in a pizza oven that will serve as the centre piece of the all-day restaurant. Of course, an Irish bar wouldn’t be complete without a live music night, which Cara’s guarantees to deliver for each short break at the resort.
A Center Parcs all-time guest favourite, The Pancake House, will make its debut at the Irish forest resort this summer. This popular restaurant serves savoury and sweet pancakes cooked in a traditional Dutch style on a griddle or stacked American style, as well as Belgian waffles and freshly cooked omelettes. Exciting highlights include: the Piri Piri Pancake - piri piri marinated chicken with peppers, sun-blushed tomatoes, mushrooms, spring onions and cheese, topped with piri piri sauce; the Banoffee Pancake - cooked sliced banana, vanilla ice cream, whipped cream, toffee sauce, flaked chocolate and crushed waffle biscuits; and the Black Forest Waffle - freshly cooked waffle with warm black cherry compote, whipped cream, crushed Flake and vanilla ice cream. Set in a beautiful location overlooking the lake, The Pancake House is sure to be a hit with all the family!
When mums and dads need a bit of a pick-me-up, The Coffee House will be just the place to go to enjoy a host of freshly baked goods from focaccia to croissants, breads to gourmet sausage rolls, supplied by Belfast-based French Village as well as Java Republic’s finest coffee blends.
The highly anticipated family forest escape has lined up a host of Irish suppliers to provide guests with quality local produce. Suppliers include Dublin-based Keelings, who will be the fresh produce and dairy supplier, Galway’s Heaney Meats, which will supply fresh meat to all the restaurants, and Java Republic, which will provide all premium coffee and tea across the forest resort’s cafés and bars.
To ensure that dining time is fun for all the family, all restaurants at Center Parcs are family friendly, with staff who are naturally good with children and a number that contain play areas for the little ones so the grown-ups can take their time and enjoy their meal. With free Ella’s Kitchen baby food and bottle warming facilities provided in all restaurants, dining out at Center Parcs is a stress-free activity.
The restaurants, which will be familiar to guests who have visited Center Parcs in the UK, include: Huck’s American Bar & Grill, which will serve up fresh Californian flavours like prawn tostadas, smoky New Orleans-style ribs or a steak cooked just like they do in Texas; Sports Café, which will offer big platters of bacon sandwiches, quick Mediterranean flatbreads and mouth-watering rotisserie chicken; Bella Italia, for calzone, a tempting pizza or a hearty pasta dish; Vitalé Café Bar, which can be found at the forest resort’s spa, will be the ideal spot for a tempting array of salads, tapas and pasta dishes; Canopy Café & Bar, which will be found in the Subtropical Swimming Paradise, will quickly rustle up burgers, salads, hot dogs, colourful cocktails and creamy milkshakes; and finally, Rajinda Pradesh, the contemporary Eastern-inspired restaurant serving freshly made dishes that are inspired by tastes from India and across Asia.
James Haywood, Group Food and Beverage Innovation Manager at Center Parcs, commented: “We are delighted to reveal the array of fantastic restaurants opening in Center Parcs Longford Forest this summer. We know that quality produce is of the utmost importance to people in Ireland so partnering with Irish suppliers and ensuring we provide locally sourced, quality ingredients at Center Parcs Longford Forest was top of the priority list. We hope guests will savour all of the culinary delights our forest resort will have to offer, including the unique Irish offering - Cara’s Kitchen & Bar - and Center Parcs favourites like The Pancake House, and we look forward to opening the restaurant doors and welcoming our first guests this summer!”
