Whilst each village has a unique Forest Management Plan, the core principles remain the same. Each Forest Management Plan:

  • Ensures the appearance and attractiveness of the village, lodge setting and landscape features meet our guests’ expectations and enhance their break
  • Provides management information to inform key decision-making relating to improvements, development, expansions and refurbishments on our villages
  • Directly supports relationships with local planning authorities and statutory consultees, demonstrating our depth of knowledge, credibility and confidence when it comes to making appropriate decisions for the future
  • Enables local, national and international recognition for Center Parcs as an environment-focused business
  • Educates our colleagues who, in turn, educate our guests
  • Achieves strategic environmental objectives to ensure the sustainability of our corporate aims and delivers on our corporate commitment to sustainability and biodiversity

Investing in our forests is a business priority for us. The continued success of the business may be directly linked to organisational leadership, financial strategy, guest attraction and retention, and risk management, but it is also hugely reliant on our forests and our commitment to enhancing, protecting and investing in them.

Each of our Forest Management Plans includes:
