Forest management principles

Whilst each village has a unique Forest Management Plan, the core principles remain the same. Each Forest Management Plan:

  • Ensures the appearance and attractiveness of the village, lodge setting and landscape features meet our guests’ expectations and enhance their break
  • Provides management information to inform key decision-making relating to improvements, development, expansions and refurbishments on our villages
  • Directly supports relationships with local planning authorities and statutory consultees, demonstrating our depth of knowledge, credibility and confidence when it comes to making appropriate decisions for the future
  • Enables local, national and international recognition for Center Parcs as an environment-focused business
  • Educates our colleagues who, in turn, educate our guests
  • Achieves strategic environmental objectives to ensure the sustainability of our corporate aims and delivers on our corporate commitment to sustainability and biodiversity

Investing in our forests is a business priority for us.
